Riding a bicycle or an e-scooter is becoming an increasingly popular way of getting around in Poland. But do you always have to wear a helmet?
Although a bicycle helmet can save lives and protect health, in Poland it is still not mandatory—neither for adults nor for children. However, this is set to change. From 2026, a regulation is planned that will require all people under the age of 16 to wear a helmet while riding. This means that parents and guardians will have to take care of the safety of the youngest users—not only for legal reasons, but above all for health reasons.
What do the regulations look like in other countries? Can you be fined for not wearing a helmet? And how do you choose a model that truly provides protection? You can read about all this in the full article: Is wearing a bicycle helmet mandatory in Poland?
